The Kōtare (sacred kingfisher) is a taonga of Aotearoa New Zealand. It is common, but is not often seen. That’s why they’re a perfect symbol for rare disorders.

As part of our ongoing ‘Fair For Rare’ campaign, we’re running a colouring competition for Children’s Day 2021 (November 20). Follow the steps below to enter - there are multiple Smiggle vouchers to be won.

We’re also asking you to include a message for our Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern about what it means to have a rare disorder.

We’ll then present your colouring, and your message, at Parliament in time for Children’s Day. Download the colouring sheet today and make our kōtare unmissable! Terms & conditions below.

Anyone can enter, children of all ages, mums, dads, friends, family and siblings of those with a rare disorder.
