Rare Disorders Strategy to be launched in July
Manatū Hauora | Ministry of Health have informed us that the final Rare Disorders Strategy will be launched in July 2024.
The Strategy has been under development for two years and Rare Disorders NZ has worked hard to ensure that the Strategy has been informed by input from Rare Disorders NZ, the rare disorder community, Māori living with a rare disorder and rare disorder specialists.
We look forward to receiving the final Strategy and to embarking on the next phase of ensuring the Strategy is implemented to deliver meaningful change to people living with a rare disorder in Aotearoa New Zealand.
We believe a Rare and Undiagnosed Disorders Centre of Expertise in the health system is the way forward and will make a signficant difference to the health and wellbeing of people living with a rare disorder.
