Rare Disorders NZ has this week written to all political parties urging them to consider the needs of the rare disorder community when developing their policies and manifesto ahead of the 2026 election.

Rare Disorders NZ welcomes any opportunity to meet with the respective parties to discuss how they can champion the needs of people living with rare disorders.

Each political party also received a briefing document on rare disorders in New Zealand, which you can read here.
