Dr. Wildmo-Seerup is president of Hearing NZ. With a Doctorate in audiology and work experience in multiple countries as both a clinician and advocate, she has a deep understanding of the challenges faced by individuals with complex and often misunderstood condition and brings a unique perspective to the table. Dr. Wildmo-Seerup is committed to improving access to specialised care, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration, and raising awareness about the unique needs of the rare disorder community. Her expertise in navigating healthcare systems and her passion for equitable health outcomes drive her mission to create meaningful change for patients and families affected by rare disorders.

Our Collective

Rare Disorders NZ is the collective voice of all people living with a rare disorder and their whānau. Our rare collective is made up of more than 150 disorder-specific support groups.

Our work is informed by the issues important to our collective. We work together to improve healthcare and wellbeing for everyone living with a rare health condition in New Zealand.
