Submission on the Plain Language Act Repeal Bill

Rare Disorders NZ opposes the proposed repeal of the Plain Language Act. People living with rare disorders already spend an average of two hours each day on tasks related to managing their rare disorder. Unclear, inconsistent, or overly complex communication from public agencies adds to this burden and contributes to missed opportunities for care, support, and services.
