James works in the youth sector and has previously run a digital design agency. He lives with his family in Avondale, Auckland. In his mid-thirties he was diagnosed with a rare metabolic disorder that affects multiple members of his family and this sparked his interest in learning about the challenges faced by those living with a rare disorder. James is passionate about social & health equity and volunteers for a number of organisations.
