Rare Disorders NZ will be marking our 25th anniversary in 2025!

Over the past 25 years we have collectively enjoyed many significant wins and made enormous strides in getting rare disorders on policy agendas.

We want to take this opportunity to celebrate what the rare disorder community has been able to achieve during this time with an awards ceremony to recognise select individuals who have spearheaded significant initiatives.

We would like to hear from you about who you think has made a difference to the wellbeing of New Zealanders living with a rare disorder. We invite you to nominate anyone in the rare disorder community in Aotearoa New Zealand who you feel has demonstrated exceptional collaboration with healthcare providers, researchers, and policymakers, leading to better outcomes for rare disorder patients.

The board of Rare Disorders New Zealand will shortlist the nominations and support group leads will have the opportunity to vote for the finalist they believe is most worthy of this award.
