Rare Disorders NZ has endorsed the Health Consumer Advocacy Alliance's letter to the Minister of Health, Hon. Simeon Brown, expressing support for Mandaluyong Declaration on Patient Safety, adopted at the 7th Global Ministerial Summit on Patient Safety in the Philippines on 3–4 April 2025, and urging the Government "to demonstrate leadership by turning these commitments into visible, measurable, and sustained action at national, regional, and local levels."

Our Collective

Rare Disorders NZ is the collective voice of all people living with a rare disorder and their whānau. Our rare collective is made up of more than 150 disorder-specific support groups.

Our work is informed by the issues important to our collective. We work together to improve healthcare and wellbeing for everyone living with a rare health condition in New Zealand.
